I'm grateful that I care enough about myself to continue to see Debra for my mental health. I hope I can get in with Dr. Farley and get some Xanax so I can start to slow down, relax, and quit living on the stress that has fueled me for the past eight months. I deserve it!!

I'm grateful that Oak Point family grew by two this week with the birth of Molly and Cameron. I'm also grateful that both Misty and Tisha are doing well and out of the hospital. I hope that Cameron gets to come home soon.

I'm grateful for a quiet weekend when I'm feeling like crap! I pulled into my spot on Friday and didn't leave until 3:15 today and then only to go to a movie. I was able to watch TiVoed shows, watch movies, and sleep. Now it's Sunday night and while I don't feel great, I know I'm in better shape had I not had this great weekend.

I'm grateful for the simplicity of nature. As I was driving back to OP after lunch, I saw two cardinals dodging in and out of the brush along the bridge line. Their vibrant color was a splash against the dull dead brush. If I would have time, I would have stopped and watched the birds. I'm amazed I even noticed the birds - but I'm trying to stop and be in the moment. What is happening now? What is beautiful?

And again, leaving work I noticed the sunset. Pinks, blues, and oranges - so pretty!

I'm glad I'm stopping and noticing what is around me.

I'm grateful for a nice evening at home, curled up on the couch, eating yummy taco soup, and watching TV. It is a peaceful place - I love my apartment. I'm glad to be here and its easy to want to hide out here and chill. One of my goals is to have a peaceful evening ritual so I can get good sleep to start each day right. Stay calm and stay peaceful in 2009! I'd be grateful for that!

I'm grateful for a wonderful two week break! I was so stressed out and exhausted - I didn't know how bad I needed it. I did a lot of sleeping, TV watching, and hanging out with friends. It was a great holiday to reconnect with old friends. I got a lot done and would have liked to get even more done - but I can do it later. I'm rested and reenergized and looking forward to a great 2009!!

Happy New Year 2009!!

I'm grateful for enjoying time by myself. I used to not like to be a lone - I would get agitated. Now I really enjoy spending time alone - reading, watching TV, arts and crafts, etc. This break has been good for me - I feel so much more relaxed and ready to tackle the second semester. I guess I'll be ready to go to work on Monday - though I sure am enjoying my time off. Only three more days!! :/
